	I have been in the US Coast Guard for almost 9 years and have loved almost every minute of it. I was stationed on a ship in Wilmington, NC for four years and decided to stay in, vice getting out, and attended Rescue Swimmer School in Elizabeth City, NC. Part of my job was to take and pass the National Registry to certify as an EMT. I currently live in Brigantine with my Girlfriend Julie and our dog, Olive. In my spare time, of which I am finding less and less of, I am taking online classes to finish my degree in Sports and Health Sciences, I try to surf whenever there is swell coming through, and during the winter season I am a die hard snowboarder. I have been an EMT for almost 4 years in conjunction with my day job. My EMT experience is limited to MEDEVACs of fisherman offshore and people who have spent the night cold and lost on the water or in the back bay, so I have a lot to learn before I can be a valued asset, but I hope that I will be a fast learner and stand a few watches before I transfer to my next duty station.
